Cattery terms and conditions

All cats must be inoculated, with up to date annual boosters, a vaccination certificate must be shown before each stay.
If a cat becomes unwell, Veterinary attention will be sought and treatment given. If this is to happen, any Veterinary costs incurred will be charged to the owner on return, The Veterinary Surgeons recommendations will be adhered to.If your cat is not registered at a local veterinary surgery, our nominated Veterinary practice, The Clockhouse Veterinary Hospital, Stroud will be used.
Please note, The Scratching Post does not provide Veterinary Insurance cover.
We will not accept any un-neutered male cats, over the age of 12 months.
Please ensure your cat is transported in a suitable, secure cat carrying basket. The Scratching Post accepts no responsibility for cats escaping from unsuitable baskets, during transportation to and from the cattery.
We reserve the right to refuse admission to the cattery of any cat deemed unfit for boarding.
Any cats sharing rooms, must be from the same household.
Requests made for particular rooms cannot always be honoured, although every effort will be made to do so.  The Scratching Post reserves the right to move cats to another room if necessary at any time.
Any cat not collected 7 days post collection date, following all attempts to contact owner, will be classed as no longer having an owner and will be passed on to a local animal charity for re-homing.
A £25 deposit will secure any booking, this deposit is non-refundable if cancellation is made within 1 week of booked arrival date.
Full payment balance is due 7 days prior to arrival. This is non-refundable if cancellation is made within 7 days of booked arrival date.
Payment details are contained on the confirmation email or available on request.
Appointments must be made and adhered to for any visits, drop-offs and collections.
Any cat(s) delivered to us on a later date than booked or collected on an earlier date than booked will be charged for the dates booked.
Due to the increase in energy prices we are having to apply a winter heating surcharge of £1 per pen per day.  This will be in addition to the normal boarding charges and will show as a separate item on Booking Confirmations and Invoices.  This will be applied to all bookings between 1st October and 31st March.
